My work is centered on abstract geometric systems that use color and structure to generate visual rhythm. Drawing is the foundation of my practice, and each piece begins with a carefully drafted framework based on grids, diagonals, and parallel lines. These underlying structures establish a set of rules that guide how the work develops.
Within this framework, I explore color through both solid hard-edge fields and pointillist constructions, allowing repetition and variation to create depth and optical movement. While acrylic ink on paper is my primary medium, I also work with acrylic paint, watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, and, more recently, sculptural surfaces. Regardless of material, the visual language remains consistent.
My background in architecture informs a systematic, process-driven approach, but the work is not about strict control. Instead, it reflects an interest in how simple systems can produce complex, dynamic results. The drawings and paintings invite close viewing, rewarding attention to subtle shifts in color, density, and spatial perception.
